Summer Internship
***Update: We are so sad to report that the 2020 Summer Internship has been cancelled due to COVID-19.The UGA Veterinary Teaching Hospital is not accepting students into the hospital for the foreseeable future to ensure healthy and safety. We wish we could have hosted internship groups this summer, but for now we will look forward to hosting an internship next summer when it is safe. Thank you for your understanding.******
The Wildlife Treatment Crew is once again offering our summer internship program! Pre-veterinary students are encouraged to apply for the chance to work with wildlife alongside CVM faculty, staff, and students for a 4 week block during Summer 2020. If you have already signed up for summer session courses, fear not! While you will be on call from 6am-10pm, it is entirely feasible to take summer courses while taking part in our internship program. In the past, many students elected to take a summer semester while on block, and it never hindered their ability to perform in their courses or participate on our treatment crew.
Please note that to work in the hospital rabies exposure shots are required. We understand this is a large financial obligation but it is hospital protocol and required to attend veterinary school.
Also, please be aware that we cannot take graduating seniors for this internship.
2020 Block Dates:
Block A: May 11 – June 7:
Block B: June 8 – July 5:
Block C: July 6 – Aug 2:
